The changes made are stored directly in the icoya OpenContent database utilizing standard HTTP and HTTP/S protocols. The integrated WebDAV file-locking mechanism prevents simultaneous editing of documents by multiple users and assures data consistency throughout.

The icoya EditorIntegration module turns icoya into the complete document management system and boosts productivity in the publishing process by leveraging existing know-how in a sensible manner.
